HabiStat Spider Bedding has been specially formulated for spiders, scorpions, millipedes and other species from humid environments; it is 100% natural, with a unique blend of ingredients that perfect moisture. The larger particles of the substrate, perlite, ensure that the soil can breathe and does not trap too much water and bad smells. It is extremely absorbent but non-toxic rather than abrasive.

This new range of HabiStat substrates is now packaged in 100% recyclable and biodegradable paper bags.

Instructions for use: Spread the substrate evenly on the base of the container ensuring a depth of at least 2.5cm or even 5cm for burrowing species. Do not overfill if using underfloor heating. Clean up excrement and debris as needed and replace regularly.

As the mixture chosen within the bedding mix is ??closely matched to their natural environmental needs, it is more suitable than the standard substrates available as it allows them to use the substrate as they would naturally in nature, in fact it allows for the important task of digging by allowing an easy manipulation of the substrate by the animal to form its systems of caves, burrows, tunnels, without risk of collapse if kept moist.
