The Reptile Systems Zone 2 UVB D3 Lamp is specifically designed for rainforest dwelling species such as chameleons, water dragons, snakes and turtles. This lamp helps your reptile produce Vitamin D3 when basking under it, allowing it to absorb calcium from its diet and practice building strong skeletons. This is an extremely important aspect of reptile husbandry and without UV D3 and calcium, your reptile could develop problems such as metabolic bone disease.

These T5 fluorescent lamps are much more powerful than standard T8s and much more efficient. They can be used as replacement bulbs for the Reptile Systems T5 Eco Zone 2 unit.
For best results, use with an electronic T5 controller, such as the Arcadia Electronic T5 Control Unit and replace after 1 year of normal use. It is highly recommended to place the UV lamp at a minimum distance of 15-20 cm from the reptile.
