F919SC Biofilm Remover is a high strength alkaline cleaner with emulsifying action to remove biofilms from hard surfaces and works exceptionally well in removing all types of animal and vegetable fats and oils. It also incorporates a wetting agent for effective coverage and a soil suspending agent to aid removal. It can be used weekly to remove the ‘films’ that harbour a build-up of microorganisms that detergent-based cleaning products leave behind.

F919SC Biofilm Remover can be used safely as a wash, using it in a spray or high pressure equipment. Its low foaming action also makes it suitable for use in CIP systems or crate washes. It is effective in both hot and cold water and is often used to replace dangerous caustic products.
Product Details:

Alkaline blend of surfactants plus sequestrants and detergents. Dab for best results.
Dilution Rates:

For lightly soiled surfaces add 40ml to 10 litres of clean water (or equivalent to create a 1:250 solution)

For biofilms add 100ml to 10 litres of preferably warm or hot water (or equivalent to create a 1:100 solution)

For resistant biofilms add 200ml to 10 litres of hot water (or equivalent to create a 1:50 solution)

Although from the same manufacturers, Health and Hygiene, F919SC Biofilm Remover does not have the same properties as the F10® range. It is designed to be a degreaser and as such does not disinfect (although the removal of biofilms by this product helps to make the disinfection process more efficient). Also, it should not come into direct contact with users or their animals.

Non-corrosive, non-caustic, safe and easy to use, no special protective clothing required.
Mechanism of action: It does not rely on a mechanical brushing/rubbing action, but chemically interacts with the organic film to release it from the surface and bring it into suspension where it can be washed away. The cleaned surface can then be effectively disinfected. Contains SABS Mark 1344 and 1828 (EU food industry approval).
