Pilea is a genus of tropical plants in the Urticaceae family. They have a bushy, compact growth habit, ranging in height from 20 to 50 cm. The leaves are green, round, and atop long petioles. Indoor flowering is rare, with small white or greenish flowers. Their origins are Asiatic and American, particularly China and South America.

The plant can almost always have small imperfections on the leaves, even when they have just left the warehouses of our producers. This could also happen to the leaves that the plant will generate in the future.
Sales size: 25cm and pot 8,5cm

Pilea grows well in bright but indirect light. The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, but it won't tolerate temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. The soil should be light and well-drained, preferably with peat and perlite. Water regularly but moderately, waiting until the soil is dry. It loves humid environments and is very well suited to the bathroom or kitchen. In spring and summer, fertilize every two weeks with liquid fertilizer. Repotting is done every one to two years, and it propagates easily through cuttings or basal suckers.

Pilea is not toxic to pets such as dogs and cats, nor to humans. Even if accidentally ingested, it does not cause harmful effects, except possibly mild gastrointestinal disturbances if eaten in large quantities.
